What is Dividend Yield (DY)?
It is how much a stock or fund pays in dividends per year relative to its price. An 8% DY means R$ 8 of dividends per year for every R$ 100 invested. It is your assumption — past DY does not guarantee future results.
Does reinvesting dividends matter much?
Yes, over the long term it makes a huge difference. Reinvesting turns dividends into more shares, which pay more dividends, creating compound growth. Without reinvesting, your income only grows from new deposits and appreciation.
Are dividends taxed?
